PS3 Video Games: The Great Releases For This Xmas

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Come Christmas and youll find that most shoppers will run for the PS3 video games in the shops. This digital entertainment game from Sony is in fact one of the trendy and can be counted on to be bought up. There are a few of them however, which are the pick of the crop and outshine the others.

Hockey has undoubtedly been popular and NHL 10 from EA Sports is all set to become a very big seller. The graphics are great, the frozen ice looks almost real and the game comes with a new mode where the player can be a general manager. Gamers can set up their enemies on the board while listening to background music of metal, punk and alternative rock bands.

The recently launched Guitar Hero 5 is all set to carry on the Guitar Hero popularity all the way through the Christmas season this year at great PS3 cheap prices. Indeed, shoppers are purchasing the game early in case it runs out of stock. It makes a difference because the early birds also acquire a promotional copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen, a new game in the series that is yet to be released.

You should also have a glimpse at Cross Edge which is starting to become very well-known among Playstation 3 users. This comes in the true Japanese anime or animation tradition and it is built around the tale of defending souls. The battles are turn-based and this gives it a feel that it is very real. There are special options in the game which contribute to a great part in its popularity. There is abundant Oriental costume play, also called cosplay, involving the anime and manga characters. The girls in the game are clad in many different costumes.

The PlayStation 3 console, when it was designed, took into account diverse tastes and varied people so the appeal would be larger. Keeping diverse tastes in mind, there are a number of different releases. This Christmas, it looks like these games are going to be right at the forefront of many shoppers lists. 2009 X’mas Gifts: Cheap And Best Nintendo Wii Games

Monday, November 30th, 2009

How fast the Nintendo Wii has become a favorite in several homes. Any supermarket you enter, you will see the advertising as large as life. Here is a system that encompasses so many Wii video games. But, the games may not be competitive when it comes to costs and some can only be played once. There are one or two though, that are on sale with huge discounts during the Xmas season. They might not be very new but they are actually a pleasure to play.

1. Rayman: Raving Rabbids came out with the Wii, has a lot of funny characters and great games that everyone in the family loves and comes at a price of $18. Its loads of fun despite the fact that the graphics could be said to be imperfect.

2. de Blob is a game launched last year and conceptually, it is excellent even though it is a little offbeat. In this, you dont shoot but you have to go ahead by solving puzzles which in turn paint the scenery ahead as you progress. Of course, it is full of action with the INKT mean people but most of it is just painting Chroma city. Its a nice deal for $18.

3. No More Heroes is a enjoyable game as well and it can be considered as a derivative game. The most important character is Travis Touchdown which the player turns into a mercenary and he is given a sword which is light. He battles his enemies, gets rid of them and has to proceed to the top slot of mercenaries. It costs $20 and the whole game is loads of fun.

So many games for the Wii are available currently and you can lay your hands on some fine cheap wii games for under $50. Therefore if you want some enjoyment out of your Wii, you know where to look. And you can have a rest from your Wii Sports.

Online Gaming Community You Would Enjoy

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

In January of 2000, board game lovers Scott Alden and Derk Solko created the website www.boardgamegeek.com as a resource for boardgame news, articles, tips, session reports and ratings. The site was an overwhelming success, with 250,000 active members discussing 30,000 different games and regularly contributing to the site. Members can find online board games, games to buy, bulletin board topics of interest and reviews on new or existing games they may not be familiar with. The site is free to join and users who post content can earn “GeekGold,” which is a form of virtual currency that enables them to purchase avatars, badges and other items for their community page.

One reason why gamers come to www.boardgamegeek.com is to find new a strategy board game to buy. As of December 2008, the top-ranked game was Agricola. The average playing time for this game is 2 hours with 3-4 players. Agricola players start out as a farmer with a wife and from there, they must build a life for themselves. Using cards and double-sided tokens, players will try to build a house, grow crops during different harvest seasons, feed the children, raise livestock and survive. The countless strategies that may be employed in this game are what truly make it fun. The top game of 2007 (and #2 game on the 2008 list) was Puerto Rico. This 90-minute game is best played with four players, who act as colonial Puerto Rican plantation owners who must grow indigo, corn, tobacco, coffee and sugar better than their competition.

Another reason to visit www.boardgamegeek.com is to buy games. The BGG Marketplace works very much like eBay, where individual sellers offer up games for sale. Many of the games on the site may be hard to find, out of print or from other countries, which makes shopping here practical. Prices of some games are as low as for near-new games. There are some expensive games that cost as much as 0,000 (for a rare complete collection of vintage Magic: The Gathering cards). Most games are very reasonably priced, however, and there is also a BGG Trade section where players can get rid of the old and buy the new to make their dollars stretch.

Obsidian Sanctum How To Strategy Guide

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

Are you ready to take on the Obsidian Sanctum? This is an interesting raid with lots of different difficulty levels to master Because you can vary the number of mini-bosses you encounter at the end, your strategy will have to change significantly if you want to own this raid and go for all the loot and achievements. I’ve seen how frustrating it can be. This is the reason I broke down and get myself some Obsidian Sanctum how to advice.

The Obsidian Sanctum how to advice I got gave me the secret to handling all the different types of encounters. And it’s solid, detailed advice too, not the vague, out of date stuff you usually see.

Would you like me to tell you where I got this great information? The source of my new-found wisdom is the Obsidian Sanctum strategy section of T Dub Sanders PvE Bible.

The Obsidian Sanctum how to advice in the PvE Bible runs 15 pages. This is detailed strategy and tactics advice on anything that matters in this raid.

Starting with the single encounter raid, T Dub walks you through every raid variation, showing you the right way to work your way all the way up to the four-boss encounter with raid boss Sartharion and all three mini-bosses.

This guide book is quite complete, with loads of detail. It covers everything from the key attributes and gear your raiders must possess, to the exact tactics you can use to take down each mini-boss and all the mobs quickly while keeping your party intact for the final battle. It seems clear to me that T Dub has been through the Obsidian Sanctum quite a few times. His guidance will get you through it with the least amount of trouble.

The thing I really like about the Obsidian Sanctum how to advice in PvE Bible is the way that it builds on what you learned in each versions of the raid to prepare you for the next most difficult one. The step by step approach eliminates the need to learn completely new tactics each time.

Warning: You can get into some bad habits in the lower-level raids. T Dub’s approach to each teaches you good habits that may be more than you need for the current raid, but that will be crucial for success in the more difficult ones. Surely you’ll agree that it’s much better to learn strategies that apply to all levels of the raid than to have to relearn everything each run through?

Do you want your own source of detailed Obsidian Sanctum Strategy advice? In the PvE Bible, you’ll learn everything you need to dominate the Obsidian Sanctum and every other new raid or instance. CLICK HERE to learn more now! And while you’re there, check out the right side of the page for a free gift, the Extreme Raiding Checklist!
