Rapid WoW Leveling and Class Quests

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

The goal of a Leveling Guide is to get your character to Level 80 in the minimum amount of time. To get you there quickly, they guide your character through a particular sequence of quests that builds experience points extremely fast. But each class has its own unique quests. Where do these fit into power leveling?

Each World of Warcraft class has attributes, abilities, and quests that make it unique. That’s why you may love playing a Warlock, while I’m big on Hunters, and so on. Even if you could get to Level 80 without developing the unique characteristics of your character, it would take a lot of the fun out of playing.

So how does developing your character’s unique attributes fit into the typical WoW Leveling Guide? It doesn’t. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of work to integrate the unique quests for each class into any kind of leveling guide. Some guides just cover the basics of leveling and leave it up to you to figure out how to get your class quests taken care of. But there are some people out there who are doing this right.

Dugi’s Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide and the Zygor Guides both include class quests in their leveling guides. These guides are designed so that your character will automatically see their class quests in the guide as part of their path to Level 80. As a result, your character will be a fully-functional Paladin, Priest, Hunter, or whatever class you chose by the time they’re done racing up to Level 80.

Getting your character’s class quests done while they’re leveling is vital to your character’s success in the end game. And forcing you to figure out how to fit your quests into a generic leveling guide isn’t acceptable. Don’t settle for a leveling guide that doesn’t integrate your class quests right into their progression.

How Your Hunter Can Dominate World PvP

Saturday, October 31st, 2009

Player versus Player (PvP) combat is in your Hunter’s future, even if you’ve avoided it so far. WotLK has brought a new emphasis to World PvP. There’s now a real time PvP battle zone called Lake Wintergrasp. There, the emphasis is on real-time World PvP. There players battle on the live server (no instancing) to win points that allow them to buy a wide variety of rare and valuable items such as the new Heirloom items. These are items that any of the player’s characters in that account from level 1 to 80 and beyond can take advantage of.

Given the popularity of Lake Wintergrasp and the trend toward PvP combat in the gaming industry, you’ll surely see more even more PvP in WoW in the future. Here’s what you need to know to handle your Hunter in this new world:

Playing a Hunter class character in World of Warcraft Player versus Player combat requires many of the same skills real hunter possess. You need to be able to quickly pick out a target and figure out how it will react so you can anticipate its next move. In addition, you need to know your own capabilities and the capabilities of your gear. And you need to be able to maneuver to the right position to take out your prey before they can take you down.

But playing a hunter in PvP involves much more than that. You need to know when and how to employ your Freezing and Frost Traps and essential crowd control devices is one thing. You need to know how to maintain the ideal distance between you and your opponents to cause the most possible DPS damage in each battle. And you must do all this against a foe who is trying just as hard to out-think and out-maneuver you as you are to do the same to him.

If you want to be really successful in Hunter PvP combat, you need to know the strategy and tactics for killing each class of opponent. It’s particularly important to understand how Druids, Warriors, and Rogues are likely to approach you. And you need to know how to respond against those classes that can charge into hand-to-hand combat range quickly, such as Warriors and Rogues.

You can learn much of what you need to win as a Hunter in PvP simply by spending time in the arena. But I know, from personal experience that if you try, you had better be prepared to get crushed and humiliated for a long time. I spent many frustrating hours ranking last or near last in the standings when I tried. Once I started reading a Hunter PvP Guide, I started climbing in the standings rapidly.

Even if you do decide to learn the ins and outs of Hunter PvP combat yourself, you’ll find that a quality PvP Guide will contain information that you’re unlikely to discover on your own. It will teach you the key things you need to know, saving you a big block of time you would otherwise have to spend dying in battle before you become good at PvP combat.

Find out how your Hunter can come to dominate any PvP situation with the PvP Bible. Visit PvP-Bible.info to learn more about this great Hunter PvP Guide, or order your copy of the Guide right now at: http://ThePvPBible.info.

WoW First Aid

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Because healing is so important in Warcraft, First Aid is one of the best secondary professions to train for. The following WoW First Aid guide will introduce you to first aid as a profession and give you some tips as well.

Because first aid can reduce your down time, it’s good for just about every class even healers. The ability to heal your friends will make you a great ally when it comes to groups and raids. First Aid utilizes various bandages as a tool in healing. As you level up you first aid profession you’ll learn different cloths which in turn are use to make these bandages. The higher the quality of cloth, the stronger its healing ability will be. This WoW first aid guide wont go into actually making and using the bandages. The following list gives you the various cloth’s healing power and skill level. As youll see heavy bandages heal better.

  • Linen: Starting skill level, with a 66 Healing power and (114 healing power for Heavy, meaning heavy bandages) over 6 sec
  • Wool: Find a trainer once youre at level 115, Healing power is 161 (301 for Heavy) over 7 seconds.
  • Silk: You’ll need to seek out a trainer at level 150, Healing power is 400 (640 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Mageweave: Learn this from a trainer at level 210, Healing power is 800 (1104 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Runecloth: Find a trainer at skill 260, Healing power is 1360 (2000 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Netherweave: You need to learn to make this from a book once you’ve leveled your skill to 330, Healing power is 2800 (3400 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Frostweave: Youll need to train with a Grand Master Trainer at skill level 350, healing power is 4800 (5800 Heavy) over 8 seconds.

Heavy bandages, which need 1 extra piece of cloth, will heal better than regular bandages. To find the books I mention for training you can look either in the wild or buy them in various locations. Next we’ll take a look a leveling in the WoW first aid leveling guide. The book you need in order ot level 125-225 is called “Under Wraps”. If you’re Alliance find it in Stromgarde Ruins or buy it from Deneb Walker, it’ll cost 1 g. Or, Balai LokWein in Brakenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh will sell it to Horde players.

In order to level 225 to 300 you’ll need to complete a special quest. For this quest your character level needs to be 35 and your skill needs to be at level 225. For the quest, Alliance faction should seek out Doctor Gustaf Van Howzen in Theramore Isle. If your Horde then find Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall located in the Arathi Highlands.

In order to level your skill to the Master level, level 300-375, you need to find another book. Alliance can find it at the Temple of Telhamat, and Horde can find it at Falcon Watch. You can also get the Netherweave book here.

There’re a few last things Id like to mention to end this WoW first aid guide. Healing can’t take place unless you’re not taking damage and are standing completely still. Although healing stops when attacked or moving, you keep what ever healing has already occured. Finally, you won’t be able to inflict any damage on your enemies while you’re healing. Give yourself some time to heal by momentarily stunning your enemy. This is best done by using Heavy bandages.

Warriors – Amazing Tanks and Damage Dealers

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

In the World of Warcraft Warriors are considered to be well-known for their tanking and dps abilities. Because he can perform well in both PvE and PvP as a really good tank or melee dps, a Warrior can easily find a spot in any PvP team, instance or a raid group. Since the dual spec ability became available to all of the WoW players, playing a Warrior became even more fun.

Playing a Warrior tank is definitely fun but after some time it can also become boring, because everybody likes a change once in a while. Now that you can choose a second talent build like the Arms and Fury talent build you can freely switch between the both of the specs without paying gold. Click here to watch the video: Warrior Leveling Guide

With a setup like this you will be able to gather gear for both your tanking build and damage or PvP build. With a dual spec you can easily gear up since you can change your build when needed, like for example switch to tank when a tank is needed or switch to a melee dps if a dps is needed or if you just want to grind or PvP a bit. Have in mind though, that tanks are always harder to find and they are essential for any group so you will definitely be appreciated as a tank.

Protection talent build would be your choice if you decide to become a tank. The talents you can find on this tree will surely make your Warrior a tough tank. Protection talent build will increase the amount of health of your char, his armor, threat and it will improve his shield abilities.

If you want to build up your char as a melee dps there are two other talent builds to take into consideration Arms talent build and Fury talent build. Arms has always been the talent tree that was preferred by PvP Warriors because it had several great PvP talents and a few great attacks like Mortal Strike, which when used on a target decreases the healing done on that same target. The Mortal Strike has proven to be lethal for many arena teams and in PvP in general. For more information on WoW class guides, read our review: Warcraft Pros Review

The Fury talent tree has always been used strictly for PvE DPS purposes. There are a lot of complaints however about the damage output a Fury Warrior can make and some say that an Arms Warrior is even more effective in PvE, which basically would mean that Fury became an useless build. However, this is something you need to see for yourself and try out. After all, with the Fury talent build, you will receive several nice attacks and other nice talents and as a Fury Warrior you will be the only class that is able to use two Two Handed Weapons which gives the character a great look!

Through the history and in any mmorpg, Warriors have played an important role while fighting battles. The Warrior class in the World of Warcraft is the only class which can equip all the weapons. A Warrior wears plate and in the combination with a good shield he will be able to become a great tank and while equipped with two-handed weapons, a Warrior will be able to make a lot of damage.
